We have a great cohort this year and we're so excited to introduce you to each of their companies! Today, we have Chris Molaro of NeuroFlow.
Bunker Labs PHL: Tell us about Chris.
Chris Molaro: I am a Wharton MBA student and before coming to the business school I was in the Army for five years as a Field Artillery Officer. I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. Now I wear the hat of a startup founder. I am from Long Island, NY and grew up in the Poconos.
BL: In business, what company or individuals do you admire?
CM: Elon Musk. He is obviously innovative and he’s willing to take risks and put it all on the table to do what he thinks is going to change the world. And he does it; he accomplishes it.
BL: What does NeuroFlow do?
CM: NeuroFlow is a digital health software company that uses wearable devices to measure stress in real time by tracking and analyzing biometric data.
BL:How did NeuroFlow come to be?
CM:I had a passion of doing something bigger than myself and to serve. I met my cofounder through Penn. I was at the Wharton School of Business and he was a Bioengineering PhD. We started talking about technology, how we see it heading, and started looking at different modalities to help make mental health assessments more reliable.
BL: How has your company found success?
CM: In a matter of 8 months we have developed a product. It works and we’re launching pilots with early customers. We are solving this issue and the way we see brain health. We aren’t the hardware component, but we have taken a robust manner in the way we analyze the data. We’ve taken a unique way of interacting with our clients to analyze the data so real insights are made.
BL: Tell us about your team!
CM: The team is incredible. I remind them this is bigger than us, and they are incredibly dedicated. We espouse open communication, establishing a critical debate, and not just “falling in line” but seeing themselves as being a member of the team because they bring unique perspectives. This is how we achieve real innovation and have met some impressive milestones in a short period.
